Position Summary
We are seeking a Company Manager to support the Executive Artistic Director in delivering a dynamic and diverse season of performances, workshops, and special events. This position is an hourly, part-time role (20–30 hours per week) requiring regular on-site presence at our theatre office. The Coordinator will often serve as a keyholder, responsible for opening and closing the theatre facility for rehearsals, performances, and community events.
The position supports a wide range of administrative and production tasks, including:
Coordinating theatre programming and bookings
Managing contracts, budgets, and event logistics
Recruiting, scheduling, and managing volunteers for events
Assisting with marketing, promotion, and community engagement
Providing administrative support and maintaining accurate records
This role requires flexibility, creativity, and strong organizational skills, including availability for occasional evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Programming & Bookings: Coordinate and manage theatre events, performances, and workshops; secure performers aligned with our mission.
Volunteer & Event Staffing: Organize volunteer teams for ticket sales, event setup, ushering, and teardown.
Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote events through digital, social, and community channels.
Contract & Budget Management: Draft, review, and manage contracts; assist in tracking expenses and financial reporting.
Administrative Support: Maintain departmental calendars, prepare reports and presentations, and manage records and archives.
Community Engagement: Represent Teatro Audaz at community meetings, boards, or conferences as needed; support cultural development initiatives.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Theatre, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience in event coordination, artistic program management, or arts administration.
Familiarity with grant writing and fundraising is preferred, or a demonstrated willingness to learn these skills.
Experience with theatre programming, contract management, and volunteer coordination.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and scheduling/database software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for theatre and the mission of Teatro Audaz.
Other Requirements:
Hourly, part-time position (20–30 hours/week); in-person presence required.
Responsible for opening and locking the building for rehearsals, events, and performances and providing support for rehearsals, events and/or performances in the space.
Availability for evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.
Valid Texas driver’s license.
